Jodi Wert - Educational Consultant

Partnering across all ages - intentionally rooted in the awe, curiosity, and possibility of early childhood.

Hi - I’m Jodi!

I collaborate with early learning communities to design programs that fully support young children, teachers, and families, with focus on:

  • Whole-ecosystem models that nurture sustainable, interconnected learning.

  • Emergent curriculum that is playful, skill-based, and contextually meaningful.

  • Social and emotional learning that strengthens self-awareness and relationships.

  • Rich, reliable environments that promote comfort, curiosity, and growth – integrating tools that streamline workflows, freeing educators to focus on deep connection with children.

  • Authentic inclusion, ensuring all voices and experiences are valued.

  • Vital relationships with people, ideas, materials, tools, places, and possibilities.

  • Moment-to-moment practices that foster meaningful learning outcomes.

Deepen Awareness Through A/V Documentation™

I approach this work with a reverent focus on the strengths and resources within each context, using A/V Documentation™ (audio, visual, photo, video, sound recordings) to illuminate insights and guide reflection. As educators engage with these tools, they not only attune to the rhythm of the learning space but also streamline their practice, allowing more time for relationship-building.

Clarify Understanding

I help educators use A/V Documentation™ as both a mirror (reflection) and a window (opening)—helping them recognize new possibilities in partnering with children. Sounds and sights create a deeper attunement to the real energy and rhythm of the room, enabling more authentic engagement.

See Through Children’s Eyes & Expressions

I show teachers how to teach children to use digital cameras and recording devices to contribute their unique perspectives on learning, design, and daily experiences. When children co-create through shared mediums, they gain a voice in their environment - an active role in shaping how learning unfolds.

Inspired by Ursula Franklin’s perspective that

"technology is practice, the way we do things around here,"

I guide educators in integrating thoughtful, efficiency-enhancing tools that support collaboration, reflection, and meaningful engagement - always in service of human connection.
